MindMeld
We help teams get on the same page, quickly.
At On Your Feet, we create and facilitate MindMeld experiences, designed to support both newly formed teams and long-tenured teams when they need to breakdown silos and work together cross-functionally.
“On Your Feet made a big impact. We reached our highest potential as OYF helped us to understand each other and develop a set of best practices for working better together.”
Amy Brusselback, Former Design Director | P&G
Past EXAMPLES
We help a new cross-functional team at Expedia align and connect. Outcomes were developing a co-created vision and a plan to implement it.
We helped teams at Google come together after a reorganization. The keys were building a sense of a shared responsibility and understanding of one’s own individual swim lanes.
The Challenge
So often today, new and existing leadership teams need to come together to work together.
Sometimes there can be challenges because they don’t always understand their colleagues and how they operate, what they really care about, how they measure success, and what they need to be their best. And of course these days sometimes they have never even met in person!
The Solution
We bring you a powerful approach called “MindMeld.”
At On Your Feet, we create facilitated MindMeld experiences that are designed to support newly formed teams and teams that need to work together cross-functionally.
The Results
In the experience, you will:
Find cross-functional alignment
Get assumptions and questions out in the open
Have clear and effective conversations
Discover a shared understanding of how to make effective decisions
Create an environment of empathy, safety, and trust
Ask for help and use each other as a resource
Build a honest and true sense of connection
Experience more joy and less fear for BETTER RESULTS
Our Techniques
Every MindMeld is different, but there always are three key steps:
1. Building new skills for high-performance collaboration
We often help set norms of the day (and beyond) by giving the group experiences in improv practices to improve collaboration and co-creation. Examples include noticing more, letting
2. Seeing each other’s individual values
We’ve developed dynamic techniques to help participants understand the teams and individuals they collaborate with in deeper, more meaningful ways. You get real answers to that question: “What do you all do in your department?”
3. Creating a new set of operating agreements
Teams answer questions like: What structures will help this collaboration? How will people respond to conflict? How will you celebrate each other? A Google team called their agreements “The Big Sur Accords.”
